Re-renovating this van has been quite the challeng Re-renovating this van has been quite the challenge, and seemingly never ends, but the custom built rack is finally up and I’m starting to put the deck and solar panel mounts up. Excited to get into the van again within the next couple months after it being unusable for the past 9.

If you’re in Argentina for the summer, you shoul If you’re in Argentina for the summer, you should consider exploring the Patagonia region. I went to explore the Huemel Circuit for a couple days while visiting and it was one of the most awe-inspiring places I’ve traveled. The trek itself features ice fields, river crossings, glaciers, tyrolean traverses, multiple passes, mountain lakes, and some of the most incredible views over four days. For those interested, here is the mini guide. Be sure to follow for the full guide coming out on my blog this week.

Huemel Circuit Mini Guide:
🗓️Best time to go
December through March. Earlier December May still see a good amount of rain. It rained every day when I was in El Chalten in December. Early January only saw an afternoon light rain.

A very quick recap of how I spent the last couple A very quick recap of how I spent the last couple months with the world’s best guide @moritalev 💛 i spent a total of three weeks backpacking on various trails, drove and flew many hours, ventured over to Chile and Uruguay, swam in the ocean, learned to wake surf (I’m not good), rode (and fell) off a horse, ran through a wildfire, saw four shows, visited two wineries, saw many football matches, saw Argentina win the World Cup, practiced (definitely not perfected) my Spanish, went to multiple art museums, drank great wine and ate great food, and met so, so many amazing people.

I went here to meet and visit Mo’s family, most for the first time, and it blew me away how welcoming and kind everyone was (knowing Mo I shouldn’t have expected anything less ❤️). Until next time Argentina 🇦🇷

A fews weeks late, but I’m currently working on A fews weeks late, but I’m currently working on updating my adventures from Argentina and amping up this account as one of my goals for 2023. So here is what two weeks worth of food and gear looks like for backpacking in Patagonia. I’m heading back south in a couple days and am excited to show those adventures.
Patagonia was on my list for a while, so now that Patagonia was on my list for a while, so now that we are in Buenos Aires, I knew I really wanted to try to make it here. So we did! Some things to know about visiting Patagonia.

🗺️ The Patagonian region is massive, as is Argentina. Part of Patagonia is in Chile too, so you should plan out where you want to go while you are here. One of the most well know places is El Chalten. Climbing, mountain biking, and backpacking are popular pastimes here.

✈️ It’s a long way to travel from BA. To get to Chalten, travelers need to take a 3 hour flight from BA to El Calafate then a 3 hour bus from Calafate to Chalten.

🥾 There are many trails in the area. The visitor center will be able to answer any questions you have on trails. The most popular one is to Laguna de los Tres (Fitz Roy). Some of these trails can be combined into backpacking trails.

🎒 Pack your rain jacket and pants here. Patagonia is famously windy and wet. For the 5 days total I was here, it rained 4 of the days. If backpacking, a rain cover is really nice to have. If you don’t have one, line your bag with a large trash bag to keep your stuff dry.

Post coming soon on backpacking in Chalten.

I'm currently avoiding packing, so instead I made I'm currently avoiding packing, so instead I made a reel from a couple of my adventures this summer and spring. I'm going to miss Colorado and all of the adventures here, but I'm pretty stoked to be exploring Argentina with @moritalev for these next couple of months. Don't worry, we'll be back in time for ski season though (we wouldn't miss it), and for me to *finally* finish the van re-rebuild.
